My name is Megan Sikes. I am from Gainesville, Texas and have been a member of St. Mary’s Parish as well as attended St. Mary's School for Pre-K and Kindergarten before going to into the public school system in Gainesville. After I graduated from Gainesville High School in 2004, I decided to continue my education by going to North Central Texas College, where I received my Associates of Science degree. In 2006, I moved to Denton where I attended the University of North Texas. There I majored in Interdisciplinary Studies, Early Childhood-4th grade. I did my student teaching for a year in the Denton ISD and gained so much through that experience. I graduated from UNT in May of 2010 and completed my Texas Standard Teaching Certification. I spent last year substituting in Denton where I was lucky enough to do a couple of long-term positions.
This is my first year in my own classroom and I’m so blessed it is here at St. Mary’s!
